In Here Together Series

In Here Together is a series of large-scale paintings on stretched Tyvek that explores how structure and openness coexist within a single visual field. Beginning with poured and stained color that creates organic, flowing forms, the paintings evolve as geometric pattern, line, and framing devices are introduced, disrupted, or partially removed. This process reflects Carlino’s ongoing interest in abstraction, color, pattern, and the tension between organic forms and constructed systems.

Developed during the pandemic, the series considers how experiences of interiority and shared space overlap. “In Here Together” speaks to the ways private and collective life became intertwined, revealing both vulnerability and connection. The paintings become sites where containment and spaciousness meet, inviting viewers into moments of pause, relation, and subtle negotiation between autonomy and harmony.
